March's Resolutions

February's goals of bringing my lunch to work everyday, eat a Greek yogurt each day, and to stop drinking soda was pretty successful.  I think there was maybe 3 days that I didn't take my lunch to work or eat the Greek yogurt.  On those 3 days, I had lunch provided to me.  :)

I did make it the entire month without any soda, so that was pretty awesome.

Now onto:

My goals for March are pretty much the same as February, minus the Greek yogurt.

I plan on continuing to not drink any soda in the month of March,
as well as continue to bring my lunch to work.

NEW goals for this month are:

1. Get my Passport process started.
Passport Day is March 10th.

On this day, several passport offices are open on Saturday and no appointment is needed.  All I really need to do is come up with the funds to get the passport and get my photo taken.  The application is easy.

2. Do something fun every Saturday.
My work schedule has changed (for the first time in like 5 years), so that I now have practically every Friday and Saturday off, unless I request specific time off.  It's an interesting transition.  I notice that I am spending more money than I used to, so that's a downside.  But, I like having a weekend day off each week.

3. Complete my taxes.
I really should have finished them last month, but the computer crashed and it took a while to get it up and running again.

4. Purchase a new laptop computer with my tax return.
This probably won't happen by the end of March, as I need to have my tax return first.  My current laptop is over 6 years old and is literally falling apart at the seams.  Plus, it runs so freakin' slow too!

5.  Purchase a new wireless router.
Our current one is ancient as well.  Again, this all depends on my tax return.

The food goals, are totally achievable, as demonstrated by last month.  The other 5 goals are all dependent on money, and me following through.  I wouldn't say they aren't achievable, there are just more factors to consider in determining their completion dates.

What are your March goals?

  1. Did you get your passport? Where are you planning on going when you get it? :)

  2. I did get it. It came on the 29th. I don't have any plans at the moment to go anywhere, but I do want to go to London, Paris, Australia, and New Zealand.
